Indeed it works with extended and double precision, while with
 
GSL_IEEE_MODE="single-precision,mask-all" make check

I obtain (with the 1.5 stable version too)

FAIL: gsl_fdiv(2,3) (0.666666686534881592 observed vs
0.66666666666666663 expected) 
FAIL: test

Is this as expected?
