It won't build for me on Fedora 27:

/usr/local/bin/ld: ab.o: in function `main':
ab.c:(.text+0x5b97): undefined reference to `SSLv2_client_method'
/usr/local/bin/ld: ab.c:(.text+0x5e44): undefined reference to
`CRYPTO_malloc_init'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
make[2]: *** [Makefile:73: ab] Error 1

I have openssl-1.1.0g-1.fc27.x86_64.
