Fixed for 2.28 (as discussed in the commit message, my list of files is
different from that previously given in this bug, but I think it covers all the
current tests with hardcoded path names in /tmp used during testing, while I
think cases using mktemp are in fact OK and cases using tmpnam are a separate
issue).
