[Bug regex/697] New: regex segfault

Searching for o$($|.) ERE in "o\n" causes regex segfault, while doing set_regs
it tries to dereference NULL mctx->state_log[1].
echo 'o$($|.) - oN' >> posix/rxspencer/tests
cd ../obj; make check subdirs=posix
shows this.
