According to IEEE Std 1003.1, 2004 Edition:

If x is ñ0, a pole error shall occur, and tgamma(), tgammaf(), and tgammal()
shall return ñHUGE_VAL, ñHUGE_VALF, and ñHUGE_VALL, respectively.
But glibc returns NAN.
