Error message "Interpreter 'console' unrecognized" with gdb 6.8 pcsolaris

Hi

I've compiled a 32 bit gdb 6.8 with 32-bit gcc 3.4.3 on 
an amd64 Solaris 2.10. When I invoke the binary it shows: 

Interpreter 'console' unrecognized.

I haven't been able to find any information on this. 
Any clues on what might be wrong?
