Thanks very much for trying this --- it turns out the base directory
against which I generated the patch had local changes to it.  I've
regenerated the patch, and updated the wiki; it now applies cleanly to
ftp://sourceware.org/pub/gdb/snapshots/current/gdb-weekly-6.6.50.20070227.tar.bz2
