internal-error: amd64_push_arguments

Hi,

using the following command I got an error:

(gdb) p  xrWireBoxLegal(cntxt->cntxts[0], box, 0)

amd64-tdep.c:640: internal-error: amd64_push_arguments: Assertion 
`!"Unexpected register class."' failed.
A problem internal to GDB has been detected,
further debugging may prove unreliable.
Quit this debugging session? (y or n)

Is this a bug in gdb or can I circumvent this error?
