RDI is an ABI standard for ARM hardware debuggers and simulators, giving
you access to the full processor state. In rdi-share, there was support
for building a gdb that could talk to an RDI DLL and use that as a target.

IIRC it was removed because it was outdated and its legal status was
unclear, given that ARM ltd. gives you the necessary headers under NDA only.

Codesourcery have an gdb <-> RDI protocol converter in source form,
which handles SORDI but not WinRDI (which, alas, a lot of the current
RDI DLLs follow).
