Failed to build GDB-5.0

Hi Everyone,
I am having a problem in building gdb for the target powerpc. If you have
had seen this problem earlier please
let me know how you get it fixed. Please see my environment settings:
Target: MPC8560 ADS
Gnu Tools Distributor: MetroWerks (MPC8560ADS_20041105-3.0-bsp.tgz)
$uname -a

i686 i386 GNU/Linux

GDB configuration fails at
checking for tgetent in -lncurses... (cached) no

checking for tgetent in -lterminfo... no
