Remote serial protocol analyser?

Hi all,

I'm trying to understand why I get strange behaviour when debugging
something over a serial link (the Linux kernel via a gdb-stub). In order to
check whether the stub is behaving correctly, I've been looking at the
protocol commands and responses.

In a vague attempt to make life easier, I was rather hoping someone might
already have an analyser for the remote logs gdb can write? :-) By analyser,
I just mean something that can translate the char strings into something
more easily human readable, verify checksums etc.
