Help needed in tracing the core analysis code and backtrace for IA64 architecture in gdb

Hi,
 
I need needed in tracing the core analysis code and backtrace for IA64 architecture in gdb. I need it for IA-64 specifically, I am using GDB-6.0
Basically mapping of the Stack/Return pointer and getting the corresponding
symbols from the executables for the same.
 
Any help on this would be great.
