AW: wrong backtrace / __JCR_LIST__ instead of real function name

with the hint of Daniel i wrote a wrapper for select() which worked fine for
gdb 5.3.

GDB 6.0 shows the correct backtrace even without any code modifications.

p.s.
why does 'make install' do no strip on gdb? A 20 MB executable looks a bit
oversized:)
