how to run gdb testsuite on psim

I tried:
make check RUNTESTFLAGS="--target_board=powerpc-sim"
and I got a zillion errors.
I removed the -msim from the powerpc-sim.exp and things improved to:

# of expected passes            3002
# of unexpected failures        1493
# of unexpected successes       3
# of expected failures          45
# of unresolved testcases       154
# of untested testcases         1
# of unsupported tests          7

Is this the expected reult?  Are results posted anywhere?
