Just FYI,

I went to re-produce this (per src/sim/README-HACKING) I tried:

make -k -f Makefile.in SHELL=/bin/sh autoheader-common

Using autoconf 2.13.  Ignoring the fact that this won't regenerate

./sim/testsuite/d30v-elf/configure

I also found that the above didn't work eg:

Running autoheader in fr30 ...

covered by /home/scratch/auto-000227/share/autoconf/acconfig.h
/home/scratch/auto-000227/bin/autoheader: Symbol `HAVE_LC_MESSAGES' is 
not covered by /home/scratch/auto-000227/share/autoconf/acconfig.h
/home/scratch/auto-000227/bin/autoheader: Symbol `HAVE_STPCPY' is not 
covered by /home/scratch/auto-000227/share/autoconf/acconfig.h

Anyway, I've fixed Michael's immediate problem.
