PowerPC Macraigor wiggler

Is anyone successfully using the Macraigor Wiggler on a
powerpc-eabi target with GDB 4.18.1 or 4.95.0 under 
Windows 98?

I can talk to the target, download code, etc., but once
I start running a program GDB cannot stop it (and in fact
it just freezes up.  Control-C does nothing...).

Also, my download speed using GDB to connect directly to
the wiggler is about 1 kbyte/sec, while my download
speed through rproxy (using "target remote x.x.x.x:2000")
is closer to 10 kbytes/sec.  Is there any info on
debugging what the Wiggler is doing?
