Objective-C patches?

I read a rather cryptic remark on the list a while back that indicated
that the Objective-C patches from Apple/NeXT would be integrated into
GDB soon (maybe by 5.1?). Is this true or are the patches still
languishing? Is a volunteer necessary for getting this going?
