    Trying to simulate the execution of a simple C file (just "int main() {return 0;}" compiled with
arm-softfloat-linux-gnu/gcc-3.4.1-glibc-2.3.3
hangs the simulator, or runs out of memory.
    GDB (no doubt reasonably) warns about ABI problems; see the How-To-Repeat field.  So running the cross-compiled executable badly would be acceptable.  But hanging and sucking up CPU and memory seems poor behavior for a debugger, even if the code it's trying to debug is buggy.
