Could you please indicate if this problem occures with the current GDB
sources. See http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/current/
You are going to have to be more specific. From
http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/current/
I clicked [download] which took me to
http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/download/
whose latest from the release directory took me to
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gdb/
whose directory listing says
08/30/93 12:00AM 1,138 gdb-4.10-4.10.pl1.diff.gz
11/05/95 12:00AM 14,339 gdb-4.15-4.15.1.diff.gz
04/24/96 12:00AM 464,522 gdb-4.16-testsuite.tar.gz
04/24/96 12:00AM 5,996,836 gdb-4.16.tar.gz
04/28/98 12:00AM 8,972,436 gdb-4.17.tar.gz
04/09/99 12:00AM 881,007 gdb-4.18-testsuite.tar.gz
04/09/99 12:00AM 11,657,032 gdb-4.18.tar.gz
05/19/00 12:00AM 12,299,318 gdb-5.0.tar.gz
02/23/01 12:00AM 12 gdb-xxgdb.README
08/31/99 12:00AM 52 xxgdb.README
and the most recent entry for gdb-5.0 is over a year old. From my
reports, I'm running
GNU gdb Red Hat Linux 7.x (5.0rh-15) (MI_OUT)
This GDB was configured as "ia64-redhat-linux".
on the IA-64/Linux box I have access to.
If instead, from
http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/download/
I chase the [GDB 5] link I get to
http://sources.redhat.com/gdb/5/
which lists
The vital stats:
-rw-r--r-- 1 cagney gdb 9505342 May 18 23:21 gdb-5.0.tar.bz2
-rw-r--r-- 1 cagney gdb 12299318 May 18 22:33 gdb-5.0.tar.gz
which sure looks like the same gdb-5.0.tar.gz as above (the
date-sans-year is off by one and the file size is exactly the same).
If instead you want me to download the sources, build it, and try it,
I'm afraid I've never done that and now is not the time to start.
