    I checked in a patch to implement this feature on the trunk.
    I believe it will appear in gdb 5.2.
    The option is named "--args", so you would use:
    
    gdb --args programtorun programoptions
    
    My patch doesn't automatically start the inferior.
    That might be a useful feature, but it deserves a
    second change request.
