FYI/BRANCH: Patches applied to branch gdb-7.9-branch

Hello,

Another couple of changes I applied to the branch, now that I have
the pre-release tarballs:

    [release/branch 1/2] Document the GDB 7.8.90 release in gdb/ChangeLog
    [release/branch 2/2] Bump GDB version number to 7.8.90.DATE-cvs.
