small request regarding commits in binutils-gdb.git

commit message format isn't really any more onerous than maintaining a 
ChangeLog file by hand

i don't know how other projects handle typos/updates.  maybe they just live 
with them.  i haven't looked too closely at the scripts in use, but should be 
easy to ask.
