A week ago I updated the flash support patches. These are the ones
which haven't been checked in:

vec.h
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-08/msg00098.html

memattr revamp using VEC:
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-08/msg00099.html

strtoulst (string to ULONGEST):
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-08/msg00105.html

memory map support:
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-08/msg00107.html

actual flash support:
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-08/msg00108.html

Plus an already approved documentation patch:
  http://sourceware.org/ml/gdb-patches/2006-07/msg00310.html

I think that these are all suitable to commit at this point, on the
condition of a followup NEWS entry. I believe Vlad and I have
addressed everyone's concerns about these changes. But, it's a pretty
substantial project, and the first user of both the vector types and
XML in GDB; so I am planning to let this sit for comments until
Friday.

If you've got any comments on it, please share! Alternatively, if
you'd like to review the patches but won't have time this week, let me
know and I'll wait; and we'll still be responsive to feedback after
they're committed.
