[commit] Fix (partly) formatting issues in symfile.c

While reading symfile_bfd_open, I noticed some blatant formatting
issues, so I fixed them there and the function in its direct
neighbourhood.  I also fixed a few comments.  Don't have the time to
do them all now, so I checked this in.
