[patch/rfc] Revised gdb_mbuild.sh

Hello,

Attatched is a revised version of the script gdb_mbuild.sh.  The patch 
also updates the MAINTAINERS file to simply mention the script.

I'll look to commit in a few days.  I think it works with the new 
top-level make files.
