    David, you are writing parse.c in the ChangeLog entry, but is should
    be eval.c, right?

Correct.  I discovered that after sending out the patch.  I had a
change to parse.c that I didn't include (it was for something else --
and I now think it is wrong), and got confused when creating the
ChangeLog entry.

    Sorry for the delay.
