gdb's objc support

Is there any reason why objc support hasn't been added to gdb yet?
Various patches have been floating around the net for a couple of years
now it seems.  The diff at ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/gnustep/contrib
doesn't patch cleanly against the 981029 gdb snapshot that RedHat's
Rawhide distribution uses so I tweaked the patch a bit to make it work.
My changes don't appear to have broken anything else but I'm not 100% sure
of that.  The patches I applied and the modified rpms are available at
http://www.seawood.org/gnustep/test/ .
