Hi Jonathan,

I'm waiting to see the modular HAL from Thomas showing up in the CVS tree. 
I would like to contribute our platform that is based on Thomas' work. This 
seems a rather straight forward modification and shouldn't take too long to 
get done. Do you have any ideas when you might be able to work on that. If 
you need any help in testing I'm happy to assist.

I appreciate if we could get this moving.
