Are you use the latest makefile.gnu file from CVS? Ref:
http://ecos.sourceware.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/ecos/host/tools/configtool/standalone/wxwin/makefile.gnu.diff?r1=1.15&r2=1.16&cvsroot=ecos&f=h
Note that the ordering of libraries on the linker command line is important.
