[ECOS] how to create named pipes on windows

hi all
i am trying to port ecos (installed on cygwin) to vmware (ubuntu installed).
i am trying to connect them using virtual serial port using "named pipes.

i have configured VM->settings for named pipes but i am not getting any clue how to configure cygwin to interact with the same named pipe. or do i need to do some changes in windows?i dont think so.

please find me a solution for the same.
