In this case I assume, Atmel has MANY "big" users of this particular LTB
chip and if I was responsable @Atmel I would contact ALL customers which
have bought this particular chip in bigger  quantities  and  tell  them,
they have 12 month to order and after this date FINISH!

So, if you want to order 1500pcs of this chip, maybe others too  and  it
would be rentable if the let the production  run  a  last  time  with  a
quantity of 100.000 pcs.
