[ECOS] coldfire m5206e

I'm in the process of porting the M68k Coldfire 5206e to ecos so I'm using the existing mcf5272 package as base. I can run redboot and my own code but then I wanted to get serial communication working for output but couldn't.
It turns out that the interrupt controller of the mcf5206e is completely different from the coldfire 5272 and 5282 so I cannot get any driver to work.
Is there any work done in this area? Some pointers/docs would be greatly appreciated as I have no experience writing code for this.
