[ECOS] Slow if cable missing

Hi all,
I compiled RedBoot for iMX25 ARM processor and everything is OK.
My sensation is that if the board is disconnected from the ethernet cable, some time passes after the message 'FEC: no cable' and the next.
Maybe this is cause I have ip address set?
On other boards where i receive "No IP info for device", they are faster on that phase !
