[ECOS] Building redboot for i.MX31 or just building redboot for ARM

Hello,

I am looking to build redboot for i.MX31 platform. Questions:  
(1) Has anyone built for target i.MX31 ARM?
(2) The ecos site name GNU tools that are a little old:
     is has anyone compile redboot using newer tools?
(3) Do I have to build ecos entirely or can I just point to redboot?
(4) What is the configure step?
