[ECOS] device driver: strategy for readout

Hi,

As my target is very new I would like to wirte my own driver for serial communication.

I found out that the polling mode is not so effective, because in high baudrates like 115200baud I can only read every 5th character. 

Are there any other strategies how to read from serial comm?
Perhaps a own buffer?
