Be careful of the license. You don't want to port any GPL code since
it will "infect" the whole of eCos and the application with GPL. You
will then be required to license your application code with the GPL
license and have to provide sources to your customer etc....

You might want to see if any of the *BSD systems have the necessary
components using more friendly licenses.
