[ECOS] "movs" hangs?!

I am bringing up eCos on a PXA3xx family part and have been tracing
some issues with threads starting up once the scheduler is going. I
can trace execution through context.S up to the "movs pc, lr" after
which, the system hangs. If I change the movs to a plain mov, the code
will continue and my thread (only my first as my timer isn't working
right now, but that is a different problem) will start up. Can anyone
explain why a movs is used and why it might be causing the system to
hang?
