[ECOS] Calling Ubunutu users: testing please

Hi Folks

Any Ubuntu users out there? 

I've had reports that the synth target does not run on Ubunutu. It
dies very early on during startup. I think i have tracked this
down. If anybody has this problem, please could you try adding

-fno-stack-protector

to the compiler flags and let me know if this fixes the problem.
