This seems like a gcc 4.1.1 issue. Normally there is a libsupc++.a in
the toolchain directory....

~:/opt/ecos/gnutools/i386-elf$ find . -name "libsupc++.a"
./i386-elf/lib/libsupc++.a

See if you have this?
