Do like 'remove' (just above), and lose the 'inline' qualifier
in thread.hxx:565.  The 'inline' qualifier in the _definition_
should be enough, eh?

The usage:   "inline foo();" (with a semicolon) smells fishy.

Maybe you tried that already.
