[ECOS] howto ? synthetic target testing for TCP/IP programs

how should  i test my TCP/IP socket programs written for ecos on linux
synthetic target .
does the testing possible for an application communicating with
standard linux daemon processes that are already running . can anybody
tell me what should be special configuration that i must do while
building the sytem.
