Hi Brad

Try with the following explicit command:

./mkfs.jffs2 -r ./home --pad=0x80000 -o jffs2.img

Do not forget the '=' sign if you're using the long form of the option.
Also, if you know whether your target is big or little endian, specify that
as well. Type './mkfs.jffs2 --help' for the complete list of options.

Regards

Vijay

Subject: building jffs2.img problem
Sent: Saturday, February 12, 2005 5:35 PM
Hi,

I am trying to build the jffs2.img image to use with eCos using the
following command:
./mkfs.jffs2 -d ./home -o jffs2.img -e 0x10000 -p 0x80000

My understanding is that the -p 0x80000 option will create an image of size
512k. However, the jffs2.img size is always 64k. I have tried this with a
downloaded binary of mkfs.jffs2 (version 1.39) and also using building
mkfs.jffs2 using the current snapshot of mtd/jffs2 (I think the version is
1.43 -- I'm in windoze now).

I have also used --pad 0x80000 instead of the -p 0x80000 option but the
results are the same. Is this working properly (i.e. is my understanding of
this option incorrect) or is there some other option that needs to be set as
well?

Thanks,
Brad
