[ECOS] Accessing Redboot config FIS area within Linux via MTD

Greetings,

I am trying to access the non-volatile Redboot Config FIS area within Linux 
using the MTD device. Anyone know the format of this configuration data? Is 
there a tool that allows access to the FIS area within Linux?
