Hello.

>From what I understand, To get IPSEC working in eCos you need 3 packages:

FreeBSD Network stack - IN CVS
IPSec - In CVS
bsd_crypto - From ftp.ecoscentric.com:/pub/contrib, Please note that the
bsd_crypto cannot be used in some places, so don't use it without checking
first that it is O.K to use in in your country.

I found the following link on the net:

http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/docs-latest/ref/net-ipsec-common-installation
.html

I am no-way near to being an IP Security expert, but as Andrew Lunn said,
OpenSSL and IPSec are aimed at different layers. For example You will use
SSL to access your online banking or an online shop where the connection
needs to be secure.

IPSec is used for the network level, for example to create a VPN (Virtual
Private Network). Or a secure link between two computers.

Hope this helps.
(Again, I am no-way near to being an IP Security expert so it would be best
to check my facts.)

IPsec never got finished. I started the work and Gary Thomas did some more
work i think, but its never made it into CVS.

OpenSSL is available. My port can be found at

ftp://ftp.ecoscentric.com/pub/contrib/

and Gary Thomas has a port on his website somewhere.
