[ECOS] JFFS2 / Flash question

Two, hopefully quick, questions:

1)       After running JFFS2 on top of empty flash, it formats the flash,
seems to run the test program _and_ my program but every time it starts at
the beginning of each block on the flash it says Magic bitmask 0x1985 not
found at 0x00000000: 0x2003 instead  (then 0x000c, then 0xdc6d) – anyone
recognize that pattern?  Can I ignore this.  JFFS2 still seems to work – its
very possible that these blocks were not used at the time.
2)       Is there anyway to get statistics from JFFS2?  Usage, number of
writes, free space, total space etc.
