[ECOS] RS-232 Implementation used for Redboot

Hello,
i would like to know where can i find the code( C or assemble) for the RS-232 implemetation on the AT91EB40A when using Redboot. I think that this communication is made by Redboot using the Usart isn't it? If not, how really works the serial communication between the board and the PC.
