[ECOS] PPC decrementer questions

Hi
 
I am hoping someone and point me into right direction.  On a MPC5xx processor where does the decrementer and rtc interrupts get enabled ???
I see they are initialized in "hal_hardware_init" but they are then frozen.  At what point do they get free to interrupt ???
