[ECOS] Some issues with arm-elf-objcopy

Hi,
  I'm using the sample examples in the ecos directory
for the eb40a board. I guess the executables that I'm
getting are of elf format, right, though it doesn't
have an extension explicitly. I want to convert this
to a bin file and this is what I'm using --

arm-elf-objcopy -O binary standalone_serial
standalone_serial.bin

am I doing right. I'm asking this because my flash
programmer complains that there is an error in opening
the .bin file.
