[ECOS] How to set clock related options?

Hi

I'm confused with the clock related options.How to set numerator ,denominator and period?I know that numerator/denominator gives the nanosecs per tick.Given a 33MHz hitachi H8/2168 cpu(infomation is enough?), how should period be calculated ?
