[ECOS] question about install eCos with redboot

hi,

i want to install eCos in ipaq h3800,
and i read this page 
Installation and Testing / ARM/StrongARM(SA11X0) Compaq iPAQ PocketPC.

According to this page, these command below are mentioned.

RedBoot> lo -r -b 0x100000 redboot_ROM.bin
RedBoot> fi loc -f 0x50000000 -l 0x40000
RedBoot> fis init
RedBoot> fi unl -f 0x50040000 -l 0x40000
RedBoot> fi cr RedBoot -b 0x100000
RedBoot> fi loc -f 0x50040000 -l 0x40000
RedBoot> reset

because of the caution above these function,i must make sure i can use these
function with h3800(eCos doesn't seem to suppot for h3800).

can i use these memory address in h3800,too?

How to return to original situation if i fail?
(the document only mentions how to save WinCE.)
